The Best of HBO
Video Editor
This is a "combo/montage promo" to highlight that Showmax has the best shows from HBO, and is the only place in South Africa to stream HBO content.
It was a lot of fun editing this. I love a good "dramatic" piece!
Dam Integrated Campaign

Dam is a Showmax Original series. We had a massive campaign created for the show, and this video highlights the campaign and how well it did.
The video won a Gold Promax award for Best Integrated Campaign.

Music Against Child Labour

I love projects that have a good cause behind them, as well as being fun to do. This is my first fully animated promo that I've done, and I really enjoyed it. Animation done in After Effects.

Hillary Documentary Trailer

This is a trailer for the Hulu Hillary documentary, streaming on Showmax.

Sometimes we are unable to use the studio trailers so we have to create our own. This is something I love doing!
The Tudors Season Finale Promo

This is a promo I worked on, very early in my career, and I was so proud of it.
​
My writing partner and I came up with the idea together. He wrote and directed it, while I edited and graded the promo for the season finale of The Tudors, Season 2. This was all before the days of HD.
​
It's been 11 years since we created this promo, and I still love it.
Project Blue Book Conspiracy Videos

One of the more crazy things I got to do was make these fake conspiracy videos for the launch of Project Blue Book on Showmax, which is a 2020 Bronze Loerie winner.
They were purposely made to look like a bad conspiracy video that you might find on YouTube, and got a lot of people talking (and scared).

People were served (in-stream advert) a video on YouTube, and if they skipped, they were served the next video in the sequence, and finally the promo for the show (promo not included in this video).
Game of Thrones S1-8

All 8 seasons of Game of Thrones in one 60 second promo, for Showmax.

It can be quite challenging to fit 8 seasons into 60 seconds, but a lot of fun at the same time. I loved being able to create a story that showcases this show!
M-Net Action Self Defence Commercial

M-Net Action used to be an action movie channel on DStv in South Africa.

They really let us push the boundaries of what we could do, and I think this commercial is proof of that!
